With proper directors and writers, the character would have been great! Unpopular opinion Kylo ren was the only good thing from Sequal trilogy. He had best arc in entire trilogy and overshadow rest of character.

Unless if they erase sequel trilogy and canonize old EU version of post ROJ there is no such thing as “good” sequel content otherwise wouldn’t disney made multiple shows set in that era in their future projects?last time Star Wars The Mandalorian Grogu Grogu Grogu R14 T-Shirt I checked none of the future star wars projects are sequel related I watched it this morning and man the amount of detail they use to give it the Star Wars look and feel is staggering. I mean Filoni in the ahsoka episode was insisting that her lightsabers had the exact right look even if making them a little fatter would have been much more technologically easy. It made me realize why I love this show so much, all the references and characters are so perfectly designed it makes me giddy watching bo and Ahsoka seamlessly move into live action form.

Also makes me realize that the sequels were fundamentally lazy, from the storytelling and world building to the character and setting design. All of it was simply lazy, but enough effort and nostalgia bait to make it appear like it belongs in the Star Wars universe. Then you have Rodrigues who owned a Mando and Storm trooper helmet for his boys. Prior to being hired. And acted out a battle scene with toys and his boys. I loved the part where Robert Rodriguez was embarrassed that he had to use a Star Wars The Mandalorian Grogu Grogu Grogu R14 T-Shirt Boba Fett action figure for his concept video but the fact that he had a Boba Fett action figure made Jon Favreau Filoni feel even more sure that he was the right guy to direct the episode.
