I taught 3rd grade virtually last year and I felt my students were growing and learning. It was slower than in classroom learning but they did progress. There were students whose siblings did their work, and it showed. There were students who never attended class online. My sophomores’ average reading level is 7th grade right now. Virtual went so well for me that the parents didn’t bring Kids Race Car Virtual Back To School I’m Ready to Crush T-Shirt their kids back when we went “hybrid.” Based on what my kids said at the end of the year, I would say yes. Definitely not all of them learned (I had a few kids with attendance issues), but I would say most did.
