Consider them like influencers on steam, since there’s only so many ways for devs to show up on people’s steam pages, curators’ review slots may help them get coverage. Great minds think alike T-Shirt It’s still a shit system and if you watch the Friends Per Second Podcast they mention how devs gotta really learn to market their stuff unfortunately with steam this is the low bar go to due to the stupid curator system. So you’re telling me that people like, idk the guy that literally says “ah I see you’re a man of culture aswell” who has like 50k+ followers gets games for free?

If you have a following and curator page then more or less yes. There’s also external means where you reach out to people directly like Jake Baldino, Completionist, etc but they hold more credibility in that they actually provide more depth insight on their game experience. Curators is a very low bar thing and the user here themselves has made the critique Great minds think alike T-Shirt (although he still continues abusing it and Valve doesn’t care to change anything)

From what I’ve seen from others the last 3 are owned by one guy, copying the reviews of the first guy, who’s actually a credible reviewer, but not sure. I haven’t seen his video in awhile so feel free to correct me but I believe he owns all of these (if not I just know he owns multiple accounts either way for this purpose).Great minds think alike T-Shirt I’m not sure either, I don’t even know who he is, this is just what I’ve been told by others in this comment section.
