A lot of great and memorable characters haven’t gotten that much time I find. Gross’s speech on the wall is an example. Isayama has a way of writing characters in for short periods of time but making their actions and words stick with you Your opinion on Mikasa’s Pride really helps, in seeing her action through different view. I don’t think Eren’s driving force is rage anymore though. Before Eren could justifiably direct his rage to an enemy, the Titans, without guilt because of his perception of good and evil. Isayama mentioned something about Eren developing a complex, to kill all the Titans, the bad guys. But as his vision of the world slowly crumbled he began to think “am I just empty headed?” Basically Faith Hope Love Believe Dream T-Shirt the shift was quite complex and Eren couldn’t really wrap his head around it, and in this lack of understanding he begins to think “how about I just preserve myself”. I think this is the Eren we meet at the ocean.

Later on Eren learns to understand that there are both good, bad and innocent people at the other side. Eren feels massive guilt for the atrocities he’s about to commit and his driving force is no longer rage, I think Eren is driven to do the rumbling because of a future he wants to realize, “a world free of curses and fate” or an end to the cycle of children eating their parents. But I do think there’s a certain dose of rage left – though,Faith Hope Love Believe Dream T-Shirtmainly at the cycle of violence/hatred itself, that enables all of this to happen, rather than feeling rage towards his enemies.
