I have two RRL shirts — a denim one, and a twill workshirt — both of which I bought on sale, Distresses Bong Bones Guadalupana Roseate Aztec Eagle T-Shirt and both of which were kinda expensive nonetheless. (Also, Taylor Stitch does some pretty good approximations of some very RRL-ish stuff, albeit with their own eccentricities. I really like their jackets.) Their sizing is really unforgiving to begin with and it runs strangely slim for the aesthetic they’re going for IMHO.

They said in their own words the gap between each size is only 2” when most brands are 3”-4”, so they’re cutting out the upper 33%-50% of customers that other brand cater to.Distresses Bong Bones Guadalupana Roseate Aztec Eagle T-Shirt Feels weird. I agree. Even on sale, their stuff is pretty steep. And yeah most RRL stuff is just reproductions of vintage stuff anyway! But I get that not everyone has the time/resources for finding vintage stuff. Definitely agree with you. Picked up a pair of their officer pants on sale a couple of years ago and they’ve become one of my go-to pairs of pants.

Quality and style wise, I have Banana Republic heritage pants and Todd Snyder pants that are similar but definitely less expensive. I just can’t justify buying RRL but I dream of finding RRL shirts at thrift shops. I had one of those shirts. Made the mistake of sizing down while being inbetween sizes, Distresses Bong Bones Guadalupana Roseate Aztec Eagle T-Shirt then a year or two going to the gym made it a bit too small for me. Honestly one of the best casual shirts I’ve ever had, saddens me to this day that it was peak lumberjack core and skinny jeans time when I bought the shirt, if not I might have just sized up.
