Great writeup! I totally agree, it’s personal preference. If you are a fan of SoulCycle type classes you won’t like the Peloton and vice versa. I love the movement and dancing on the bike because it makes it fun. I originally bought both bikes and there was an 11 week wait for the Peloton, but I had access to both apps, Variis and Peloton. Watching the classes made the decision very easy for me, Peloton wasn’t for me. Love this thank you so much! I put the deposit for the soul cycle bike and have been debating the decision because I know the peloton would arrive faster (they just opened up my area for preorder)!! Definitely going to wait now for the soul cycle bike! My question is pertaining to the Soulcycle bike: Not so much concerned with any buzz from the wheel spinning/etc – as I believe you were describing noise only discernible to someone in the same room – but do you think the bike’s noise would bother an apartment neighbor? glad to hear assembly is simple! I live alone in a studio so would have to put it together myself – thanks for the insightful post BTWMy bike makes a little bit of a “buzz” not that it matters to me, because my neighbors are noisy and obnoxious.
Variis does an excellent job balancing the volume level between the Cody Rigsby Motivational Quotes – Peloton Pastel Inspirational T-Shirt instructors and the music. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of the built-in speakers. My wife prefers not using headphones when she rides, and I don’ think the class is too loud. I use Bose Bluetooth headphones, and the sound quality is excellent.  Oh perfectttt, I was remembering the grinding of my dad’s elliptical from when I was little, which sounded like someone trying to bang the house down haha. I think in that case the machine was shifting its weight distribution on the floor when it was maneuvered. Thanks for all the feedback!
