I participated, was an interesting challenge , different than anything I’ve done before. Ended up tapping out after 12 loops for 50m/ 80km. Further than I’ve ever run so happy to get a PR. Excited to see in the coming days how the battle with the elites plays out. My brothers and I did our version of this today with zero training (outside of our basic training) and we managed 4, 5 and 6 respectively. Lol what is a “proper runner?” A woman doing this race had never run further than 21k and ended up making it to 100k. LAP 40 Update: 9 People remain. They’ve covered 162.5miles (261.5) kms. John Cash just dropped out as I type this. All these guys and gals are absolute legends #1 for running so far and #2 for giving me a distraction from all the stuff going on in the world at the moment. The event was set up to raise money for charity and to get the community together during these tough times. The likely hood of someone being dishonest during this event are slim to none. I should add, most people track their runs on their watch and upload to Strava if you wanted to look at that.
