In the most respectful way possible, may I ask that we have the Jagex PR team not announce updates unless they’re actually going to be released? Nearly every update is postponed or shelved. You announced group ironman on stage at the last Runefest, with this big reveal. That was the 2nd Runefest I attended where huge key updates turned out to not be true. Why is there so much time and zero delays on 4x Yak Track yearly but we can’t get the updates we want/need? All You Need Is Love Skeleton Valentines Day T-Shirt That’s exactly what Warden has been doing for the last year or so. Group ironman was announced in 2017, not the latest Runefest (in 2019), but regarding recent content, they have been mostly tight-lipped until they can guarantee release. And don’t tell us the release date until it’s guaranteed.

What they did at 2018 RuneFest was great IMO; 4 months of updates planned, and they hit every target (with one delay with ED3 which was delayed a week). They went back on that in 2019, with things thrown out like updating Managing Miscellania. Since Warden has taken over however, we’ve seen less and less info about upcoming content, but are getting guaranteed content when it is announced. Re: Yak Track, they have a dedicated teamAll You Need Is Love Skeleton Valentines Day T-Shirt that likely spent a bunch of dev time to make initial Yak Track, but releasing it 4x a year simply requires them to recycle the same content + artist work. It doesn’t require significant dev time nor engine work.

I hate when people talk about how devs work on their games, it’s not just RS but I’ve see people moan about skins for stuff in other games when they should be patching bugs. Like dude the people making skins aren’t QA and doesn’t mean they’re not fixing bugs.. they’re not going to stop their art team making content because there are bugs in the game lol. Each piece of gear has to go into the concept phase first, it has All You Need Is Love Skeleton Valentines Day T-Shirt to be reviewed by a senior developer or manager for approval which will likely need several revisions to make sure it meets their quality standards, then moves to the modeling team who will have to do the same review process as the artists, and finally after all that is approved, it still has to go through Q&A testing which may lead to bugs or clipping issues which could delay it even longer.
