Oh yeah, the 1973 tour is phenomenal. His voice is a lot thinner, but still great. Definitely less consistent though. Just in reference to your original post, I’m intrigued to hear that you think late ’71 was when he got more strained. I always think of ’72 as being the most significant start to his difficulties because despite having a solid range during the Australian tour, you can hear him mess up more significantly than before. I can’t think of any abnormal voice-cracks and things in ’71 though. If you have dates for those I’d like to check those out. 50 Years Of Being Awesome Since February 1971 Quarantine Edition T-Shirt Re-read your comment on the Sydney show and yeah, that’s basically what I was thinking haha I’ll bet! It must be quite a task finding the videos, compiling them, and doing all the write-ups. If you ever need a hand with any of it, I would love to help out!

Also, wow that Bonzo one is going to take you forever haha it would be really cool to see that happen at some point though. Thanks for the info! Yeah, it does make a lot of sense that, all things considered, it was the continual use of his voice without properly warming up that led to the damage. I can’t remember where, but Plant also said in an interview that when they started out he was just so excited by the power of his own voice and that of the band that he didn’t take care of his voice all that well. Plus he wrote all his vocal lines so high that the strain was bound to catch up with him at some point. As for the guitar-vocal interplays, most versions of How Many More Times, Whole Lotta Love,50 Years Of Being Awesome Since February 1971 Quarantine Edition T-Shirt Dazed and Confused, and You Shook Me are major candidates. Depends. Fate of Nations is probably his best and what I would recommend. Now and Zen, Dreamland, and Mighty Rearranger are also good. There is a lot of material lol. Oh, the honey Drippers is also a good album with Page and beck on it. Page also plays on Heaven Knows and Tall Cool One, which is on Now and Zen. My personal opinion and being 28 years old and not even being close to being a living person while they were taking over the world of rock music. I think it was the raw energy that they generated live is what made them so awesome to see live. 50 Years Of Being Awesome Since February 1971 Quarantine Edition T-Shirt I will be the first to admit listening to a lot of their live recordings I would say it sounds nothing like the studio versions and that’s what made them great. And thank you for sharing I’m going to see plant in February and can’t wait to see #1 on my bucket list of artists to see. And that stand by me cover was my favorite
